01. Acceptance
By accessing or using IndieAico, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you do not have permission to access the Service.
02. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use IndieAico, or have explicit consent from a legal guardian. To receive payments, freelancers must have a valid Indian PAN/Aadhaar and a registered bank account in India.
03. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your profile information and the security of your account credentials. You may only maintain one account per person. Account sharing or selling is strictly prohibited.
04. Platform Rules
Users must maintain professional conduct at all times. Any form of harassment, spam, or abusive behavior will result in immediate termination. Attempting to bypass the IndieAico escrow system to arrange payments externally for projects discovered on the platform is a violation of these terms.
05. Payments & Fees
All payments must be processed through our integrated escrow system, powered by Razorpay. IndieAico charges 0% commission on a freelancer's first ₹5,000 in earnings. After this threshold, a standard 10% freelancer fee and a 5% client service fee per milestone apply.
06. Intellectual Property
The freelancer retains all intellectual property rights to the work until the client approves the milestone and funds are released from escrow. Upon successful payment, all agreed-upon IP rights are transferred to the client.
07. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a disagreement regarding deliverables or payment, either party may initiate a dispute. Our dedicated mediation team will review the evidence and issue a binding decision within 7 days, in accordance with the Indian Arbitration Act.
08. Limitation of Liability
IndieAico is a marketplace that connects clients and freelancers. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of the services provided. In no event shall IndieAico be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the platform.
09. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any material changes taking effect. Your continued use of the platform after the new terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those changes.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Bangalore, Karnataka.
